Meet the Leadership: Sandi McGarrah is a long-time area resident with a “mad scientist-like” passion for nature and wildlife, so much so that her nickname is “The Nature Lady”. She has done programs for years at schools, libraries, and for the past three years at Stallings Parks and Recreation as part of the free children’s summer programs in the park. Starting January 4th Sandi is spearheading the new North Carolina Wildlife Federation Chapter for Union County. Continuing the partnership with Stallings Parks and Recreation and now with staff from NCWF, Sandi has worked with the staff to create new monthly programs geared for adults and families.
