N.C. Wildlife Federation needs a reliable set of wheels

It’s a 545-mile drive from Murphy to Manteo, and working for wildlife and habitat from the mountains to the coast depends on travel. We regularly meet with policymakers, conservation project planners, donors and volunteers throughout the conservation community. We’re proud to be fiscally responsible with our resources. (In fact, our CEO Tim Gestwicki has mastered the art of manageable utility costs, whether through contract negotiations, flipping off light switches in empty offices or finding that perfect thermostat setting.)

And occasionally, we reach out to you with opportunities to help save valuable resources. This is one of those times. Reimbursing staff for mileage driven in their personal cars, and renting cars when we must, adds up. Thoughtful folks have donated vehicles that don’t need lots of repairs and get good gas mileage. If you have a low-mileage, fuel-efficient vehicle you’d like to donate to help wildlife and habitat conservation, please contact us at [email protected]. As a 501c3 charitable organization, your donation is tax-deductible as allowed by the full extent of the law.

Don’t have a car to give, but still want to support North Carolina’s wild lives and wild places? There are several ways you can help make an impact!
