2nd Annual Community Yacunne (fish) Camp
April 22 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
NCWF’s Island Wildlife Chapter is a proud sponsor of the 2nd Annual Community Yacunne (fish) Camp!
The Waccamaw-Siouan STEM Studio (WSSS) is excited to incorporate the Waccon language into the program’s title. Yacunne (pronounced: Ya-Chu-Ne) means fish in Waccon.
The program will be held at the 211 Pecan Bass Ponds in our tribal community and is open to the community. All activities will accommodate health protocols and spacing needs due to COVID-19. You are encouraged to bring your own chairs, coolers, snacks and bug repellent. Join in Fridays, April 22nd and 29th from 6PM-8PM, and Saturdays, April 23rd and 30th from 9AM-Noon.
