Join NCWF’s South Wake Conservationists chapter for a Clean and Green trash clean up event at Walnut Creek Wetland Park! Volunteers will collect and dispose of litter in the park (all tools will be provided). By participating in this Big Sweep cleanup, volunteers will be making an enormous impact on the cleanliness and preservation of the waters needed for people and wildlife alike. Volunteers will also help turn trash into trees through the park’s partnership with NCWF’s Clean and Green initiative — for every 25 pounds of trash collected, 1 tree is donated! Walnut Creek Wetland Park is consistently one of the highest-volume litter collection sites and has been for a decade, so there will surely be lots of trees that result from this clean up. Come be a part of the legacy!
