Neuse River Hawks at H.B. Wells Heritage Day

The Neuse River Hawks chapter of NCWF will host a table at B.W. Wells Heritage Day in Wake Forest.

This event is an opportunity to learn about Bertram Whittier Wells, a pioneer ecologist and early botanist of North Carolina, by visiting his retirement home at Falls Lake.  Learn about 19th century farm life; Take a guided walk to look at and learn about the geology and wildflowers located at Rock Cliff Farm; Hike to Zeagle’s Rock; Participate in children’s activities including build-your-own baseballs and kites and painting with pine needles or view some of Wells’ paintings in an exhibit located in his studio. Open to all ages and admission is FREE!!
