Civic Engagement: Conservation at the Local Level (Monroe)
November 14, 2024 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Development, fragmentation, and land use changes are putting wildlife and habitat at risk in Union County and all across the Piedmont. Join Mineral Springs Mayor Rick Becker, local government leaders, and leaders from NCWF Community Wildlife Chapters for an engaging discussion on wildlife and habitat conservation at the local level.
We will examine conservation successes in Mineral Springs, explore the different types of development, and identify local forums for civic engagement. Please bring your questions as this program will end with a panel discussion. We hope you will leave this program inspired and empowered to take action in your community!
