May 4 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Concord Wildlife Alliance

Whether you’ve lived in the Cabarrus County area for decades or only a few months, you’ve likely noticed signs of growth all over town. Development and re-development are booming in our urban neighborhoods and surrounding areas and the impact on our wildlife is evident! Cabarrus County has experienced a 22 % increase in population over the last 5 years!

Fortunately, there is a smarter way to grow! Join us to learn more about the 17 United Nations Sustainability Goals and how smart growth will support local economies, protect the environment, and continue to further opportunities! Sustain Charlotte is a great voice for smart growth strategies in our region because they believe that this proven approach to development is critical for our community’s sustainability.

Did you know that an average of 100 people move to Mecklenburg every day, and we are projected to add an additional one million residents by 2030? Whether you’ve lived in the area for decades or only a few months, you’ve likely noticed signs of growth all over town. Development and re-development are booming in urban neighborhoods, too. Fortunately, there is a smarter way to grow! NCWF’s Concord Wildlife Alliance chapter hosts Meg Fencil from Sustain Charlotte to learn more about smart growth that will support local economies, protect the environment, and furthers opportunities for all.
