Join the North Carolina Wildlife Federation and Hemlock Bluffs Nature Preserve for an invasive plant removal workday. To start, Hemlock Bluffs staff will teach the group how to identify invasive plants and why they should be removed. Afterwards, the group will go around the preserve’s nature center removing invasive plant species with shovels. The group will dispose of the plants in large bags. Tools will be provided. Please wear clothes appropriate for working outside in the garden and bring a water bottle. If we have time, we’ll have a bonus activity led by park staff about how to mix compost!
