Neuse River Trail Tree Planting

March 30 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Neuse River Trail

NCWF and its affiliate, We Plant it Forward, will join volunteers and Raleigh Parks staff to enhance a section of the Neuse River Trail with native trees provided by NCWF.

Volunteers will help dig holes and plant the trees to help restore tree canopy and wildlife habitat along the Neuse River Trail Greenway.

We will be working outside in the elements on potentially uneven ground. Volunteers will need to walk 10-15 minutes (up to a mile) to the planting site. There is no restroom onsite.

Volunteers must be at least 12 years old to volunteer. Those under 16 years of age must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Everyone who volunteers must sign a release form. If anyone is under the age of 18, a parent/guardian must sign their form as well.

Bring a water bottle and wear sturdy, close-toed shoes and clothing that can get dirty. All tools including shovels and gloves will be provided.

Pre-registration is required. Space is limited to 8 volunteers.

Register here.
