Red Wolf Film Screening and Panel Discussion

December 1, 2022 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Join South Wake Conservationists (SWC) online or in-person at Bass Lake Park for the chapter’s first public screening of two short documentaries, produced by SWC chapter member Cassia Rivera, followed by an interactive panel discussion led by the Executive Producer with panelists Nancy Arehart (Photography Director), Jennifer Hadley (Film Director), and the founders of the non-profit wildlife advocacy organization Weiler Woods for Wildlife, Loti Woods and Dale Weiler.

The first film is the documentary short “Right of Passage,” which tells the story of threats facing the last remaining wild population of endangered red wolves – less than 30 individuals currently living in the wilds of eastern NC face. The film will be followed by the premier of the just-released documentary for kids, “For the Love of Red Wolves,” slated for broadcast in schools across North Carolina. Onsite guests are also invited to stay for light refreshments and a raffle.
