SNAKES: What are they good for?
Tuesday, December 4, 7PM
Matthews Community Center

Are all snakes dangerous? How can I tell if it is a copperhead? Can snakes help my garden? These and many more questions will be answered by Dr. Shem Unger, Herpetologist from Wingate University and Scott Weir from Queens College. These two snake experts will focus on native snakes, their crucial roles in our environment, and how to live with them peacefully. Dr. Unger will bring multiple non-venomous “pet” snakes that he uses in his classroom and for outreach throughout the community to encourage a better appreciation of our scaly neighbors!
