The Effects of Salt Water Intrusion

LeRoy Humphries will offer a presentation on sea level rise and the impact of salt water intrusion on coastal forests.
LeRoy Humphries is a US Navy veteran who served in Operation Desert Storm. After returning home, he graduated from Horry-Georgetown Technical College with an AS degree, Coastal Carolina University with a BS in Marine Science, and NC State University with an MS in Comparative Biomedical Science. He is currently enrolled as a Ph.D. student in the Marine Biology program under Dr. Larry Cahoon at UNC Wilmington. His research is focused on the effects of sea level rise on coastal plant communities. My wife and I have a small farm business in Green Sea, SC, and he teaches full time at Southeastern Community College in Whiteville, NC.
