Please join the Wildlife Habitat Stewards of NE NC for a unique educational opportunity on Saturday, May 25, 2024 from 10 am to 12 noon at Wetland Plants Inc located in the beautiful town of Edenton.
Wetland Plants Inc has specialized in the growth and sale of native herbaceous wetland and aquatic plants since 1999 and currently produces 1.5 million plants per year.
Learn as nursery staff provide you with information on the importance and process of native seed propagation for plant reproduction and how this technique allows for the retention of those characteristics necessary for the plants to thrive in the tough wetland conditions that exist within our local ecosystem.
To follow, enjoy a guided nature walk where you will enjoy viewing the local wildlife that call Wetland Plants Inc home. You are encouraged to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy on site before heading home.
We recommend you bring water, insect repellant, binoculars, and a camera. Bathrooms are available on site.
