Behind-the-Scenes Animal Care Tour at the Museum of Life & Science (Durham)

Join NCWF’s South Wake Conservationists chapter for a special, behind-the-scenes tour of animal care at the Museum of Life and Science! This Museum is part of a nationwide program of zoos and nature centers working to rebuild the red wolf species. In addition to red wolves, they also care for ring-tailed lemurs, radiated tortoises, and a variety of native animal species, including black bears. Learn about facets of animal habitat and care including: nutrition, enrichment, reproduction, and how natural-appearing habitats are designed.
