Butterflies and Native Plants: Partners in Pollination (Camden)
May 23, 2025 @ 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm
Discover the fascinating relationship between butterflies and native plants at this engaging presentation hosted by the NCWF Wildlife Habitat Stewards of Northeastern NC Chapter.
Local butterflies rely on native plants at every stage of their life cycle—offering food, shelter, and support in ways non-native species often cannot. In return, butterflies play a critical role in pollination, ensuring the health and sustainability of our ecosystems.
Participants will also learn about The Butterfly Highway, NCWF’s statewide conservation initiative dedicated to restoring pollinator habitats in areas affected by urbanization, agriculture, and land-use changes. From backyard Pollinator Pit Stops to large-scale roadside restoration, this project is creating a vibrant network of native flowering plants to support butterflies, bees, birds, and other nectar-dependent wildlife.
This event is free and open to all ages! Parking and restrooms are available.
