Join the Neuse River Hawks Conservationists on a tour of the Durant Nature Preserve by Tracy Feldman, the Education Assistant Manager of the Preserve. Tracy is an outstanding naturalist and a long time member of the Friends of Plant Conservation. He will show us the preserve’s natural beauty, their work removing invasive wisteria, and the work that has been done on the dams and lakes. We will meet at 10 am at the parking lot at 8305 Camp Durant Road, Raleigh 27614. All surfaces are dirt or gravel, and there are slight inclines as you go around the park. No special gear is required, although a walking stick may be helpful. Picnic areas are available if you want to stay for a picnic lunch.
