Garden for Wildlife: Creating Backyard Habitats (Charlotte/Online)

May 14, 2024 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Land is where conservation starts. Forest or field, public or private, every acre matters! Habitat loss is one of the leading causes of species decline today. All habitats, regardless of size, are essential to the survival of native wildlife. We can all take small steps in our daily lives to make a positive impact on our local environment.

Join the Charlotte Wildlife Stewards (CWS) and NCWF Conservation Coordinator Alden Picard for an engaging presentation on creating backyard habitats. By providing food, water, cover, and places for wildlife to raise young, you can help restore and enhance wildlife habitat in your community. With the heat of summer quickly approaching, now is the perfect time to identify steps you can take, and to begin planning your garden with wildlife in mind!

Our Garden for Wildlife programs are making a positive difference in North Carolina. Learn more about the programs and join our efforts!

North Carolina Wildlife Federation and its Community Wildlife Chapters are able to host community action and programs like this thanks to the partnership and kind investments of you and others. You can support this programming by making a donation below.  Thank you!
