How to Create Safe, Functional, Beautiful Bird Habitat (Chapel Hill)
October 9, 2025 @ 6:30 pm - 7:45 pm
Did you know that we have lost 3 billion birds since 1970?! Creating bird habitat in our yards, patios, and private land is critically important to conserving our feathered friends and local biodiversity. Join NCWF Durham Wildlife Stewards and Tri-County Conservationists Chapters for a presentation on how we can bring birds back by taking action where we live, work, and learn. Speaker and registered landscape designer, Rachelle Roake, will empower us with practical tips for creating bird habitat, including gardening with native plants, caring for nest boxes, and preventing window collisions. Learn to think like a bird and build a habitat oasis — every yard counts!
