Invasive Plant Removal Workday at Brumley Nature Preserve
October 26, 2024 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Join NCWF Tri-County Conservationists Chapter and TriWild, the Triangle Land Conservancy’s Rewilding Program, for an invasive removal event at Brumley Nature Preserve. Native species and habitats in the preserve have been pushed out by invasive species like privet, multiflora rose, and autumn olive.
TriWIld gives volunteers an opportunity to help TLC staff remove invasives, which is the first step towards the flourishing of native flora and fauna. Volunteers will help remove autumn olive with the goal of having no new seed (olives!) production by the end of 2025!
We will provide all the tools you need, but please bring your own water. Long pants/sleeves and closed-toed shoes are recommended.
