Lake Tomahawk Nature Walk (Black Mountain)
May 15, 2025 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm
NCWF is forming a chapter in the Swannanoa Valley. The community has expressed a lot of interest in projects around Lake Tomahawk – pollinator gardens, invasive species removal, wildlife nesting boxes, tree plantings. All that good stuff! Join NCWF staff, Town of Black Mountain Recreation staff, and Swannanoa Valley chapter leaders as we walk around the lake and talk about the developing chapter, future project ideas, and how you can get involved! Of course, May in the Mountains is a beautiful time of the year. We’ll be sure to point out blooming plants, migratory birds, basking turtles…. and maybe sneak in a few fun facts about the lake. Afterwards, we’ll gather together at the pavilion. See you there!
