Volunteers of all ages are invited to join NCWF Wildlife Habitat Stewards of NE NC Chapter in taking action against invasive Japanese stiltgrass at Merchants Millpond State Park’s Coleman Trailhead through this invasive species removal project. This project serves as preparation for a subsequent native grass planting event scheduled for October, providing wildlife with valuable food and habitat.

This event signifies the launch of a sequence of watershed stewardship efforts, enabled by the APNEP Engagement and Stewardship Grant.

Parking and restrooms are available on site! Please bring gloves, insect repellant, sunscreen, plenty of water, and anything else to make your experience more enjoyable. Extra gloves and tools will be provided!
