NC Bird Atlas Outing (Lenoir)

April 27, 2025 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

The NC Bird Atlas is a statewide community science project to map birds during the breeding and wintering seasons. The goal of the bird atlas is to help us understand the current and future distribution and abundance of our state’s birds. Having this detailed picture as a result of the atlas will be an incredibly important source of data moving forward to make more informed management and conservation decisions across the state.

The NC Bird Atlas is in its final year! Join us as we get together for a bird walk to support this effort and complete a priority block. No prior experience or training is required. Just a love for birds and a commitment to walk slowly and observe. We will meet at the James Chapel Church (94 James Chapel Rd, Clyde, NC 28721). After registering, you will receive a confirmation email with more information. See you there!
