Carolina Raptor Center in Huntersville, NC, recently celebrated a fantastic milestone – the release of its 10,000th rehabilitated raptor – a red-shouldered hawk! Sunny Cooper, Hospital Manager, will share with us the ins and outs of rehabilitating these magnificent birds so they can be returned to the wild. Sunny oversees the care of all wild patients who are admitted to the Raptor Hospital, daily operations, Raptor Hospital staff, interns and volunteers. She also attends to the medical needs of the Carolina Raptor Center’s ambassador bird collection.
