Join the Southeastern Swamp Stewards as they tour Shelton Herb Farm. Margaret Shelton started Shelton Herb Farm in 1986 on her family’s Century Farm in Southeastern North Carolina. She and her husband Chuck raised their three sons on the farm. While employed at the University of North Carolina Wilmington as a Marine Science Technician, Margaret was growing herbs and vegetables in her home garden, supplying fresh food for her family. With a passion for growing and the desire to be closer to her family, Shelton Herb Farm was realized. At first offering a few varieties of herbs, the business has grown to offer native plants, fruit trees and more!
