The Benefits of Beavers (Hybrid: Monroe and Online)

Beavers are a highly debated species due to their architectural abilities and efficiency. While they are often considered a nuisance, they are critical for creating healthy wetland ecosystems. Join the Union County Wildlife Chapter, and Education Specialist, Breanna Walker, for a discussion on beaver adaptations, the history of beavers in North Carolina, and of course, the benefits of beavers. Attend in person for the opportunity to get hands-on with beaver Biofacts!
Breanna Walker is the Education Specialist for Union County Soil and Water Conservation District, serves on the Union County Wildlife Chapter leadership team, and serves on the board of Environmental Educators of North Carolina. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Ecology and a Master of Education in Environmental Education and is a North Carolina Certified Environmental Educator. She has been in the field of environmental education for nine years and teaches students of all ages.
