The Importance of Bats (Waxhaw)
September 30, 2025 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Bats are the only mammals capable of true flight, and they make up 25% of all mammal species worldwide. North Carolina is home to 17 species of bats, three of which are listed as federally endangered!
Join Habitat Builders and UNCC Professor Dr. Laurel Yohe to discuss bats! Dr. Yohe will share her research, help us understand the importance of bats in our environment, and how to recognize them in the night sky.
