Connecting Wildlife in North Carolina with Transportation Policy (Online)

August 1, 2024 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Join NCWF’s South Wake Conservationist chapter for an exciting webinar with Manley Fuller, NCWF’s Vice President of Conservation Policy. Manley will discuss the critical importance of wildlife crossings in improving wildlife’s ability to safely cross roadways to reduce vehicle collisions and increase habitat connectivity. We will dive into the Safe Passage project, a collaborative effort involving multiple organizations addressing vehicle collisions on I-40 in North Carolina and Tennessee. Manley will provide an overview of the project and give updates on other wildlife crossing projects with examples from different regions of North Carolina and Florida.

Before joining NCWF, Manley Fuller was president of the Florida Wildlife Federation, where he led numerous initiatives to expand state parks, wildlife refuges, state forests, and state wildlife management areas. In 2019, he returned to his roots in North Carolina to lead conservation initiatives, including marine fisheries reform, climate change and storm resiliency, and advancing NCWF’s programs to safeguard wildlife and habitats.

Don’t miss this opportunity to gain valuable insights from a leading expert in wildlife conservation and learn what you can do to help protect North Carolina’s wildlife.
