Tree Canopy Preservation (Charlotte)
October 14, 2025 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Join NCWF Charlotte Wildlife Stewards chapter and City of Charlotte Tree Canopy Programs Manager, Tara Moore, to learn about the City’s tree canopy preservation efforts. The program seeks to acquire and conserve land in Charlotte with the goal of preserving and protecting one of the Queen City’s most important natural resources: its nationally recognized tree canopy.
Trees provide food, cover, and shelter for urban wildlife. Charlotte’s tree canopy reduces stormwater runoff, promotes air quality, captures carbon, and mitigates the urban heat island effect! You won’t want to miss this extremely informative program!
