Folks of all ages are invited to join North Carolina Wildlife Federation and Pocosin Lakes National Wildlife Refuge for a very special community tree planting opportunity. Thanks to generous support from Apex Clean Energy, we will be planting thousands of Atlantic white cedar seedlings on Pocosin Lakes National Wildlife Refuge and need your help!

These trees will support wildlife and humans alike by providing crucial cover and food for a variety of birds, mammals, and insects and by absorbing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and providing oxygen we all need to breathe!

Participants who sign up to help restore this important tree to its natural ecosystem will get to enjoy community conversations with their neighbors, snacks and beverages, fun take-home items, and wildlife-habitat educational materials.

Parking and a portable restroom will be available.
