Join EcoForesters, the North Carolina Forest Service, and the North Carolina Wildlife Resource Commission for a workshop on land stewardship opportunities and landowner NNIS control training at the Sandy Mush game lands. They will tour some of the game lands where EF has worked, as well as hear from Chris Henline about managing the game lands. This workshop will cover: forest management resources, tax incentives for forest management, Climate Smart Forestry practices, cost share funding for invasive species control, and timber stand opportunities. This workshop will include lunch and presentations but will be entirely in the field: long pants and close toe shoes will be required to participate in the in-person field session.
