Live staking season is officially here! Join High Country Wild, a local chapter of the North Carolina Wildlife Federation in partnership with MountainTrue for a live staking workday at Valle Crucis Community Park. This is a great opportunity to volunteer and reestablish native plants along a portion of the Watauga River. We will be planting thousands of live stakes and trees in an effort to improve habitat conditions for wildlife. Big thanks to the National Wildlife Federation’s Trees for Wildlife Program for making this workday possible!
