Pollinator Planting (Charlotte)
November 16, 2025 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Join NCWF Charlotte Wildlife Stewards chapter and Central Carolinas Master Naturalist volunteers to help install a pollinator habitat at Veteran’s Park. Habitat loss from urbanization and development is causing rapid declines in insect and bird populations. By replacing lawn with native plant gardens, we can provide critical places for wildlife to find food, water, cover, and places to raise their young.
Help us create wildlife habitat at Veterans Park. We will plant hundreds of perennial plugs and containerized native plants in an area that used to be turf grass. Volunteers will get their hands and knees dirty while discovering the joy of creating habitats. All tools provided, but you are encouraged to bring your favorite gardening tool or pair of gardening gloves.
