Alligator River Wildlife Paddle (Manns Harbor)

April 19, 2026 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Join NCWF’s Wildlife Habitat Stewards of Northeastern NC Chapter and Coastal Kayak for a guided paddle through Alligator River National Wildlife Refuge on Sunday, April19, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. As you glide through the calm refuge waters, keep an eye out for alligators, river otters, and a wide variety of birds and other species enjoying their natural habitats.

Established in 1984, the refuge protects the rare pocosin wetlands, unique ecosystems built on deep peat soils and covered with low, shrubby vegetation. The area also includes swamp forest and is bordered by rich marshland. This vast protected landscape supports thriving populations of black bears and wintering waterfowl, and it’s one of the only places in the world where you might spot endangered Red Wolves in the wild.

Enjoy this unforgettable two-hour adventure for just $45 per person, which includes experienced guides, a kayak, and all necessary gear. Both single and double kayaks are available.

**After you register here, you’ll receive a confirmation email with a link for payment and reservation of your kayak with Coastal Kayak.**
