Can you think of ways that wildlife might respond to changes in climate? During our ecoEXPLORE “Shifting Species” program, NCWF, Pocosin Lakes National Wildlife Refuge, and Tyrrell County Library will dive into how species shift their behavior in response to changes in weather vs. climate as we work to complete our Climate Badge Challenge 3! Join us as we learn more about local and regional examples of wildlife and plants that have adapted due to changes in their environment.

To celebrate the end of the Arachnology Field Season, ecoEXPLORErs are invited to wear their arachnid costumes from the Arachnology Badge Challenge 3! Don’t feel like dressing up? That’s okay, we’d love to see a sketch of your costume design instead!

ecoEXPLORE is a community science program, created by the North Carolina Arboretum, where children of all ages are able to learn how to identify wildlife around them, help real scientists track wildlife activity, and earn fun badges and prizes all at the same time!
