Great Coharie River Tree Tour (Clinton)

Join NCWF and the Alliance for Cape Fear Trees for a guided tour of the Great Coharie River. Once logged extensively, the Coharie River still has many large swamp chestnut oaks, pine, and bald cypress trees. The tour includes beaver dams, winding blackwater channels, and a tour of the Coharie tribal center with a 650-year-old dugout canoe. Come for the trees and leave with a deeper understanding of indigenous ecological stewardship. Ages 13+
