In the nursery and greenhouse industry, insects are everywhere, but the real challenge is knowing which ones to encourage and which ones to worry about. As an Area Specialized Agent with NC State Extension, Stacey Jones works with growers across North Carolina to identify pests, protect beneficial insects, and scout for new invasive species. In this talk, she will share some of the surprising “good bugs” we rely on, the pests we’re monitoring closely, and what a typical day looks like when you’re out solving plant health mysteries with growers.
