Landscaping for Wildlife with native Plants (Concord)
July 18, 2026 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Join NCWF Concord Wildlife Alliance Chapter for an informative session on how to create a vibrant, wildlife-friendly landscape using native plants. Learn how to create beautiful, sustainable landscapes using plants native to North Carolina.
This program explores the benefits of incorporating native trees, shrubs, perennials, and grasses into home and community landscapes. Participants will discover how native plants support pollinators and wildlife, require fewer inputs once established, and contribute to healthier ecosystems. Topics include plant selection, site preparation, design principles, and maintenance practices for year-round interest and success. Whether you are replacing a few plants or redesigning an entire landscape, you’ll leave with practical, research-based recommendations for incorporating native plants into your landscape.
Participants will have the opportunity to have a short tour of the pollinator garden that is part of the Butterfly Highway at the building after the presentation.
