Native species and habitats in Brumley Nature Preserve have been pushed out by invasive species like privet, multiflora rose, and autumn olive. TriWIld provides an opportunity for volunteers to help TLC staff to help remove invasives, which is the first step towards the flourishing of native flora and fauna.

Most of the biggest invasives have been removed in Brumley Preserve – South. Join NCWF Tri-County Conservationists Chapter for the next phase of this project: setting up Rewilding Oases and filling them with native plants. We established 11 oases in 2025-2026 and we are now adding five more! We’ll be putting up fencing for the new oasis at this event.
