Volunteers of all ages are invited to buzz on over and join NCWF Wildlife Habitat Stewards of Northeastern NC Chapter for a Southeast Bumble Bee Atlas survey at Merchants Millpond State Park! The Xerces Society created this community science program to empower people across the country to help monitor bumble bee populations and collect important habitat data. Our native pollinators face a series of threats from habitat loss, pesticide use, and climate change to low genetic diversity and the introduction and distribution of disease. To help track population changes that can inform conservation management, scientists need all of the support they can get from dedicated volunteers like you!

We’ll have all the survey supplies you need to support pollinator conservation in our corner of North Carolina as we monitor in the chapter’s adopted priority block at Merchants Millpond State Park.
