Join NCWF Concord Wildlife Alliance and step into the hidden world of moths during this nighttime adventure! Using sheets and blacklights, we’ll attract and observe a variety of local species up close, revealing the remarkable diversity of forms, features, colors, and patterns found among these fascinating insects. From tiny micro-moths to larger, more familiar species, we’ll work to put names to faces and explore the challenges of identifying them.

Please bring a headlamp or flashlight if you have one. The evening will be guided by Lenny Lampel, Natural Resources Supervisor with Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation’s Division of Nature Preserves and Natural Resources.
