The Unsung Heroes: Pollinators & Predators of North Carolina (Online)
February 5, 2026 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Not all bugs are bad! Join NCWF South Wake Conservationists Chapter and discover the vital roles that insects play in pollinating native plants and crops, aerating our soil, and preying on garden pests. In this presentation, you will learn how to identify some of these tiny allies and, more importantly, how to create habitat that encourages them to stay in your landscape, reducing your reliance on pesticides and fostering a thriving, balanced ecosystem. Our speaker is Gabriela Garrison, Eastern Piedmont Habitat Conservation Coordinator for the NC Wildlife Resources Commission. She also founded the NC Pollinator Conservation Alliance (NCPCA), a partnership that works to promote pollinator and habitat conservation across the State.
