Badin Nature Tour (Badin)

July 9, 2026 @ 8:00 am - 10:00 am

Join NCWF Uwharrie Wildlife Stewards Chapter for a walking tour in the charming town of Badin, NC. We will visit a pollinator garden recently planted by the Uwharrie Native Plants Society and practice identifying local birds and record sightings through eBird, contributing valuable community science data.

The walk will begin and conclude back at a local coffee shop. Since the coffee shop opens at 7:00 a.m., early birds are encouraged to arrive ahead of the walk to enjoy a cup of coffee, quiche, or a fresh pastry before we set out.

After the tour, those who would like to linger can continue enjoying everything that the town of Badin have to offer. Outdoor enthusiasts may want to explore nearby Falls Reservoir or Badin Lake by kayak or canoe. If hiking is more your style, Morrow Mountain State Park is just a short drive away and offers some of the region’s best trails and scenic views.

We hope you’ll join us for a morning of wildlife, community, and exploration in one of the Uwharrie’s most unique small town.
