ecoEXPLORE Insect Encounters (Columbia)
July 7, 2026 @ 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm
Entomology is the study of insects! Join NCWF and Pocosin Lakes National Wildlife Refuge for our monthly ecoEXPLORE program where we’ll help your children become entomologists as we explore the outdoors in search of insects together! We’ll have nets, viewers, and magnifying glasses available to help us observe insects of all shapes and sizes and we’ll assess which insects are most common throughout different habitats located along the Scuppernong River!
ecoEXPLORE is a community science program, created by the North Carolina Arboretum, where children of all ages are able to learn how to identify wildlife around them, help real scientists track wildlife activity, and earn fun badges and prizes all at the same time!
