Hiking for Habitat: Day 32, April 23

April 23 (25 miles)

25 miles from Pilot Mountain to Rockford General Store. HOT. Woke up early so I could get to Rockford General Store before they closed. Totally worth the hustle. Rockford welcomed me with open arms. Small town with big cheeseburgers. Had a blast talking with everyone in the store and was even treated to homemade sweet potato cobbler. Another must stop for MST hikers. I pitched my tent behind the store and wandered out to a picnic table overlooking the Yadkin River.
