Birds are everywhere, all the time, doing fascinating things! Join the Southeastern Swamp Stewards, Chapter of NCWF, as we venture onto the Fair Bluffs River Walk and search for birds! This event will support the Great Backyard Bird Count – a free, fun, community science event that engages bird watchers of all ages and abilities in counting birds to create a real-time snapshot of bird populations. NCWF staff and chapter leaders will lead the bird walk and report our sightings at the conclusion of the event. The boardwalk is smooth the whole way to accommodate those using a wheelchair, but it is sometimes slippery in the morning. The journey will be ~ .7 miles to the end of the boardwalk or 1.4 miles round trip.
