Join the Neuse River Hawks Conservationists as they remove Japanese honeysuckle and privet. Invasive plants, such as privet, create a host of environmental problems, including but not limited to, decreased plant diversity, increased soil erosion, degraded habitat, and diminished water quality. You will be amazed at how much land can be reclaimed for native species in just a couple of hours! Please bring water and wear appropriate clothing. All tools will be provided but you are welcome to bring extra. The event will take place on rough terrain and there will be no bathrooms onsite.
