Join CWS and Charlotte Mecklenburg Storm Water Services for a native tree planting along a tributary of Briar Creek in the Shannon Park neighborhood. We will be planting larger 15 gallon trees that should have a high success rate. These trees will help improve air and water quality, reduce erosion, sequester carbon, and provide critical habitat for wildlife along the stream corridor. We hope you’ll be a part of this fun and meaningful volunteer opportunity in the outdoors! Bring a water bottle, wear closed toed shoes, and come dressed for the weather. Wearing layers, a hat, and clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty is strongly recommended. Work gloves (bring your own too) and all planting tools will be provided.
