Please join NCWF’s Wildlife Habitat Stewards of Northeastern NC for a fun morning of planting a native pollinator garden at Merchants Millpond State Park!

Chapter members and community volunteers will be planting a palette of native plants that will provide crucial pollen and nectar to pollinators throughout the spring, summer and fall seasons. This garden will serve as both an important wildlife habitat and as a learning tool that the state park and community partners will be able to utilize for education and outreach!

Please plan to arrive a few minutes early to get signed in and enjoy a quick snack before getting started. If you are able, please bring your own gardening gloves, knee pads, water, bug spray or anything else to make your gardening experience more comfortable!

There will be gardening tools, extra gloves and bug spray available as well. Parking and restrooms are available on-site. Once the planting is over, we encourage you to explore the park’s wonderful visitor center and nature trails! If you have any questions, please contact [email protected].
