The Carolina Nature Coalition will host Luke Bennett, NCWF Conservation Coordinator, as the guide for a Mountains-to-Sea Trail hike along the Neusiok Trail. Luke will share stories and lessons learned from his extensive trail adventures. A biology major, Luke will help point out the flora and fauna along the trail, highlighting the importance of connecting with nature through outdoor recreation and environmental stewardship.

The Neusiok Trail is in the Croatan National Forest and a part of the 900-mile Mountains-to-Sea Trail. The Neusiok Trail crosses cypress swamps, hardwood ridges, longleaf pine savannah and pocosin- shrubby bogs common to the Carolina coast. There are signs along the trail with information about those who walked this way before- from Native Americans to early settlers, woodsmen, and moonshiners.
