Wood Duck Work Day (Cherryville)

The Piedmont Area Wildlife Stewards (PAWS) need help creating habitat for wood ducks in Gaston County at Cedar Lake Farm. Wood ducks rely on tree cavities for nesting and raising young. Volunteers will be digging, lifing and assembling wood duck boxes on a working cattle ranch in advance of nesting season.
We will meet at Bojangles in Cherryville at 9am for coffee before carpooling to our worksite at Cedar Lake Farm. If the work is not completed, there will be an optional work day on February 23rd.
Event is limited to 15 people, 8+ years old and up. Tools will be provided, but wear layers and bring boots and clothes to work in!
